Fueled by anger and determination, I grabbed what felt like an entire armory from my gun safe: my trusty SBR (which, as always, was conveniently chambered with suppressor-ready rounds), loaded up the Colt .22LR conversion kit that sat waiting patiently beside it, and set out to teach those pesky critters a lesson they'd never forget.

The first shot missed its mark by mere inches – which considering I'm more accurate at darts than target practice itself was nothing short of impressive. The second shot didn't fare much better either; in fact, if anything, things only got worse when the little pest came bounding back around 10 minutes later as though taunting me with its very presence.

At this point, something inside me snapped (pun intended). I'm not proud to admit it now looking back on those events through more rational eyes – but at that moment in time, all logic and reason flew out the window along with my last remaining shred of composure. The squirrels were going down; no matter what it took.

In the end, after multiple missed shots (I'm starting to think maybe I should stick to hunting actual game instead), several broken feeders later (and yes, one very expensive pair of binoculars thanks for asking – 10x magnification isn't enough when you're trying to get a clear shot at something that's quicker than a cheetah on Red Bull!), it was finally time to call in the big guns.

Or rather, not so much 'big' as just plain old-fashioned large-caliber firepower. Because after all those years of constant battles with these bushy-tailed pests (and yes, I do mean 'battles' – we're talking epic showdowns involving strategically placed traps set up throughout my entire backyard like some sort of squirrel version of World War III), it was time to take matters into own hands.
